About Dr. Hoffer
I founded Hoffer, LLC in 2015 in an effort to utilize my expertise outside of the classroom. I have extensive knowledge of markets, microeconomics, and research on individual behavior. Hoffer, LLC gives me the opportunity to apply my expertise in the real world.
I received my Ph.D. in economics in 2012 from West Virginia University. Upon earning my degree, I accepted a tenure-track position as an assistant professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I continue to work on a 9-month contract as an assistant professor as I pursue tenure.
I operate Hoffer, LLC out of La Crosse, WI. I travelled a lot during the early years of my career and I taught multiple online courses, so I quickly learned how to work electronically and from distance. All of my economic consulting, research, and education makes use of data and statistical analysis that I can conduct on my computer from almost anywhere.
I consider getting to know everyone with whom I work on a personal basis to be of the utmost importance. I adopted Suze Orman's motto, "People first, then money, then things." I am happy to set up Google Chat or a call on Skype so that we can talk face-to-face. I am willing to travel just about anywhere if the job requires it.
I love to learn and I love to teach. That is probably why I became a college professor. I get excited to work with new people and to try new challenges. Please contact me today and hopefully we can work together.
